Emotional baggage is something most people will have to deal with at some point in our lives. This type of blockage hinders our growth as human beings, and brings obstacles that can bind us such as fear, guilt, same, or regret. Baggage can accumulate as we ignore or refuse self-love for ourselves. By neglecting ourselves, we allow the baggage to run and ruin our lives. How do we get rid of these emotional ties? There are several ways to help you remove these binds, and continue growing as we should.
There are practices to try to help remove emotional baggage. The first is to try repeating a mantra. Reciting mantras help us calm ourselves, focus, and reach deep within ourselves. Try repeating the phrase “I am worthy,” or “I am not this fear, I am of Love,” for five minutes daily. Say them as loud or as soft as you need to, and the barriers will begin to crumble.
Another method to help remove negative baggage is through meditation. Daily mediation has proved to be an effective and helpful method in a variety of disorders and emotional and behavioral issues. We learn to quietly reflect and therefore begin to love and nurture ourselves, shifting the baggage off and away as we realize our surroundings, our worth and find our balance through meditation.
These methods are available to help you recover and remove emotional baggage. By using these practices daily, you will begin to see the light, and realize you are part of that light as well.
